Col. Jordan Palmer gives personal update

To those who have taken advantage of me and/or tried to tear me down, just remember, I'm a Leslie County Bowling / Begley, I'm Jordan Palmer (legally, Jordan Bowling Palmer). I may be bruised but I am not broken.
My message is that I forgive you, but I'm simply not in the mood to indulge you anymore.

When I decide I want something I make it happen. I have goals and now that this is behind me, I am going full speed ahead.

Kentucky lawmakers create misery

Elected representatives and senators in Kentucky's Capitol have created a government that destroys the right of society to comprehend reality, as well as the real world as it transpires in time and space, is the absolute worst form of corruption. Its wake creates a paradise for all who love the darkness, for all liars who use a pretense of good to hide a criminal intent to be enriched upon our misery.

Duck Dynasty controversy in Kentucky

People continuing to talk about Duck Dynasty is like beating a dead horse. Duck Dynasty is a show I do not know anything about and have never watched. Everyone has the right to free speech and if he lived in Kentucky, the Kentucky Constitution protects this right more so than the 1st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. However, when you speak, consequences sometimes follow, especially if you are on a television show owned by a network such as A&E and you are being PAID by them!

These people are basically employees in some fashion of A&E, the owner of the show, and subject to A&E's mission statement and values.

Both employees and independent contracts are subject to termination or remedial action with or without notice. The End (the curtain comes down and now everyone makes an exit).

My dream of the future

I pray that one day we will live on a planet where no one will condemned because of their sexual orientation, gender identity, gender, the color of their skin, nor any other "label" or "characteristic" used to separate or place judgement on innocent people by society. Perhaps 2014 will bring us closer to that goal in the hearts and minds of everyone. To obtain this goal however we will also have to work on ourselves.

Focus on Kentucky Elections: Kentucky House of Representatives and Senate

In this election we as Kentuckians are placing too much emphasis on the presidential election when we stand to lose some of Kentucky's greatest lawmakers to Tea Party Republicans. The Commonwealth has more impact on your daily lives that the U.S. government. The Commonwealth is responsible for our criminal codes, housing laws, drug laws, regulation of utilities, regulation of education, republication of public assistance, regulation of marriage, etc. and this is only a small list. As a sovereign State, the Commonwealth shares parallel, joint authority with the U.S. government with neither having direct authority over the other; as Kentuckians, we need to focus our attention to our own lawmakers in Frankfort.

Elected officials who lie

I've said it before, and here it is again. I think all elected officials should be required to wear those dog "shock collars" and they would shock them every time they lie, we could creative a small polygraph into the collar that would alert the collar to shock them. This would help so much with campaign promises they have no intention of keeping, and outright lies. From Constables, County Court Clerks, City Council Members, Mayors, state and federal Representatives, state and federal Senators, Governor's, President, etc., it should be implemented throughout.

I cannot help but laugh imaging this in action, can you imagine a politician giving a speech and them suddenly grabbing their neck and hitting the floor from pain because they just lied?

** For the record, I personally do not approve of the use of "shock collars" on dogs. **

Kentucky's National Guard is used and abused; Kentucky needs a "Commonwealth Defense Force"

Kentucky Governor's Mansion

I have never been interested in joining the military, nor have I ever sought to join. It isn’t my calling, but I appreciate what they do.

Here in Kentucky, we are blessed with a great National Guard organization. Compared to some states, we have a very responsive, technology-savvy team in Kentucky. This is really fortunate because our luck over the last few years hasn’t been the best.

We have experienced floods, tornadoes, ice storms, and all sorts of other natural disasters. Not only that, but we frequently catch the leftovers from other rough weather from neighboring states, especially hurricanes headed north. On top of this, our commonwealth is built over several fault lines, some of which are considered overdue to produce substantial earthquakes. Fortunately, our National Guard is well-equipped to assist in recovery missions. In addition to this, Kentucky, like any other state is subject to a cowardly terrorist attack at any moment.
